This past weekend marked the 15th annual Daniel Nimham Intertribal Pow Wow. It also marked year 7 for me as the Nimham Mountain Singers’ photographer. Since 2010 I have shot for the Nimham Mountain Singers, who are quite simply some of the best and kindest people on the planet. Thanks to them I even had one of my photos published in the New York Times! Over the past seven years I have greatly improved in my skill and learned a lot about depth of field and event photography. I’ve met some amazing people and made lifelong friends through this pow wow. I can’t thank Gil and Penny Tarbox enough for giving me this opportunity. As a Cherokee and as a photographer I can say this is truly my favorite event, both to attend and shoot. Thanks for another awesome weekend, guys. I can’t wait for next year!
